March 29, 2006
IMAGINE BC is inviting British Columbians to think about B.C.'s future well-being. A dialogue entitled B.C.’s Future Well-being: Alternative Futures and Signs of Progress, will take place at SFU's Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue and will be broadcast live on CBC Radio's B.C. Almanac show on March 30, from noon to 2 p.m.
Invited guests include internationally respected economist John F. Helliwell, the Arthur J.E. Child Foundation Fellow of Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIAR). Together with IMAGINE BC, delegates, special guests and members of the public, this session will examine BC's future well-being -- socially, economically and ecologically, from multiple perspectives.
Under the leadership of SFU's dialogue programs, IMAGINE BC is in its second year of a five-year initiative that creates opportunities for public dialogue on British Columbia's social, economic and cultural future.
