He’s the bee’s knees—Simon Fraser University biology professor Mark Winston is featured on CBC television’s The Nature of Things on Sunday, July 23 at 7 p.m.
Beetalker: The Secret World of Bees examines bee communication and, by extension, all communication. The show details Winston’s bee research and teaching at SFU, his work with the semester in dialogue and his collaboration on bee art with artist Aganetha Dyck.
Winston travelled to Manitoba and Ohio to tape the show. The producers used the latest in micro camera equipment, enabling viewers to see deep inside the hive, with high definition detail where available.
To participate in a special viewing with Winston at SFU Vancouver’s Harbour Centre campus, please email winston@sfu.ca.
