CBC Radio broadcasts tomorrow from SFU Surrey
CBC Radio's The Early Edition will be broadcasting Jan. 20 live from the Pool, the main entrance area to SFU's Surrey campus. The show's theme will be violence and crime, with guests including federal election candidates, SFU participants and a various community stakeholders. The broadcast takes place 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and everyone is welcome.
Hells Angels brass nabbed in Ontario and Quebec
Dozens of alleged senior Hells Angels were arrested Jan. 18 in a major sweep involving police forces in Ontario and Quebec. What will this mean for the club's powerful chapters in BC where last year 45 members and associates were arrested in a major RCMP operation? SFU criminologist Neil Boyd, who's an expert on motorcycle gangs and organized crime, can comment.
