Simon Fraser University business students are challenging universities from around the world to enter the 2010 “CaseIT” competition. Teams of contestants will have 24 hours to analyze and “solve” a real business problem and submit their solutions to a panel of judges from the IT industry. It all started as an SFU-only competition in 2004—but in the 2009 version 16 universities from Asia, Europe, North America and Africa took part. (Students from National University of Singapore took the $1200 first prize.) The full event, which includes more than the CaseIT contest, runs March 31-April 3, 2010, at SFU’s Harbour Centre campus in Vancouver and SFU’s Segal Graduate School of Business.
