Need summer staff for a research project or program? There’s still time to apply for funding from the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) subsidy program.

“At a time when budget cuts are having serious implications on program staffing, this is an excellent opportunity for staff, faculty and researchers to obtain staffing during the summer months at a fraction of the typical cost,” says Brenda Badgero, CSJ program coordinator on behalf of SFU’s Career Services area.

The federal government will offset the cost of student positions by $4.00 per hour, she says. “The purpose is to provide full-time summer work for students that is related to their field of study.”

SFU application deadline is Feb. 22. For information contact brenda_badgero@sfu.ca.
