They came, they saw, they shaved. SFU men's volleyball club members Adam Chateauvert, Wylen Wong (above), Andrew Clauson and Terence Yee were among those who sheared their locks for kids with cancer last week at a Burnaby campus Balding for Dollars shave-off. "I though it was time to clean myself up a little bit," says Chateauvert, a geography master's student, "and it's for a good cause." Since its first "Shave for the Brave" event in 2000, Balding for Dollars has raised about $1.3 million for the BC Children's Hospital cancer ward, out-patient clinic and bone marrow transplant program, according to the group's website. The group's primary goal is to celebrate and support the courage, strength and resolve of kids with cancer and blood disorders, and their families.
