Fans of entomology professor emerita Thelma Finlayson (above) will want to grab the SFU Retiree Association's latest DVD - a 55-minute interview with the university's grand lady of science, conducted by biology professor emeritus John Webster. The disc is the third installment in the retiree association's ongoing oral history project chronicling the early years at SFU. Finlayson, who retired in 1979, was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2005 for her contributions to science and volunteer service, and received an honorary SFU degree in 1996. And at 92, she still volunteers two days a week at SFU counselling students with academic difficulties. The association's first two DVDs - The Excitement of the Early Years and The Instant University - are also still available. All three are a bargain at $20 each.
