Photographic industry giant Eastman Kodak is the latest in a growing number of multinational corporations and international organizations that are choosing SFU's Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue for their annual get-togethers. Kodak held its annual shareholders' meeting there May 9 — half a continent away from its Rochester, N.Y. headquarters, but virtually next door to its recent acquisition, Burnaby printing equipment manufacturer Creo. "Most of our events are still planned in Canada. But we've also hosted more than 80 international meetings and conferences in the past two years alone, and the trend is definitely upward," says Lynda Hewitt, director of meeting event and conference services at the Vancouver campus. "The United Nations has hosted meetings here as well as the World Urban Forum and the World Wildlife Fund, to name three global organizations. And of course delegates are truly international in origin, from as far away as Europe and Asia."
