Graduate students enrolling in SFU’s new health sciences faculty will benefit from a $400,000 donation from TD Bank Financial Group. SFU will match the gift to create an $800,000 TD Graduate Bursary endowment, available to all grad students in the faculty regardless of their financial situation.

"SFU has a solid reputation and its Faculty of Health Sciences’ focus on population and public health will prepare students to lead initiatives against a growing number of public-health epidemics," says the TD group’s deputy chair Frank McKenna.

"We’re proud to be able to lend our support to these future leaders."

Health Sciences currently offers a multidisciplinary master of science degree in population and public health, with an optional concentration in global health. The program prepares established professionals and recent graduates for leadership positions in population and public health.
