Presentations in Cambodia this spring marked the final milestone before graduation for 25 overseas students in a unique Master of Education cohort program run by SFU and financed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

Scholarship students from Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University, the National University of Laos and Cambodia’s Royal University of Phnom Penh participated in the professional development component of CIDA’s Adult Education for Economic Development initiative. The project is aimed at developing capacity for adult continuing education centers at SFU’s three Southeast Asian partner universities.

The innovative M.Ed program was a group effort involving SFU’s Faculty of Education and the office of international development in Continuing Studies.
