Continuing tenure-track and teaching faculty who have joined SFU in the past year, as well as new continuing librarians, are invited to a new-faculty orientation program Aug. 19-21 at the IRMACS presentation studio in the applied sciences building.

The three-day event gives an overview of everything a faculty member needs to know about working, researching and teaching at SFU. The program includes a benefits-and-services fair and presentations on everything from building an effective teaching career to library and support services for teaching, researching and learning.

“It’s also an opportunity to meet senior university administrators and other new faculty members,” says Gayle Myers, director of academic relations.

The program wraps up with a reception at the president’s residence.
