SFU’s campus radio station CJSF will feature continuous gay-oriented “Homo Phono” programming from Aug. 1 and leading up to the 29th annual Vancouver Pride Parade, Aug. 5. The programming includes an interview with Vancouver Pride Society president John Boychuck and nine episodes of a United Kingdom queer youth radio drama titled “The Group.”

CJSF is also hosting several special events for Vancouver Pride, including a live remote broadcast at the Dyke March, Aug. 4, beginning at 12 p.m., and coverage of the main Pride parade, which runs from noon to 2 p.m. The colourful Pride Parade is popular with gays and straights alike, attracting some 300,000 spectators along the route from Denman Street to Pacific and Beach avenues to Sunset Beach. This year’s event features 140 parade entries. For more information, visit http://www.cjsf.bc.ca.
