The Phase 2 Task Force on Academic Structure is holding five open forums at the Burnaby campus this month to update the SFU community on its progress and discuss the content and recommendations of the task force’s five working-group (WG) reports. Open forums:
  • Thurs., Sept. 13: WG 5
        8:30–10:30 am, IRMACS Theatre
  • Mon., Sept. 17: WG 1
        1–3 pm, IRMACS Theatre
  • Tues., Sept. 18: WG 2
        1–3 pm, Halpern, Rm. 126
  • Wed., Sept. 19: WG 3, 2–4 pm
        MBC 2290–2296
  • Thurs., Sept. 20: WG 4
        1–3 pm, IRMACS Theatre.

SFU’s senate approved a three-item mandate for the Phase 2 Task Force:
  • Examine the overall academic unit configuration.
  • Analyze the structural academic building blocks.
  • Explore ways to enhance interdisciplinary innovation in the future.
