Blusson Hall, home of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at the Burnaby campus, officially opened Sept. 17with a ceremony in the Djavad Mowafaghian Atrium, followed by an open house and reception.          

At 1:30 pm, an inaugural health symposium will focus on the challenges of children’s healthy development. Speakers include:
  • Fraser Mustard, founding member of McMaster University’s medical school and an advocate of the importance of early brain development for health, learning and quality of life;
  • Bruce Lanphear, SFU Faculty of Health Sciences, whose research focuses on exposure to environmental toxicants and children’s development;
  • Charlotte Waddell, SFU Faculty of Health Sciences, who studies children’s mental health prevention and policy.
