SFU Business is adopting the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) unveiled at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in July 2007.

The principles were drafted in response to a global call for business schools to advance the practice and understanding of corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

They provide a framework for academic institutions to advance the broader cause of corporate social responsibility and incorporate universal values into curricula and research.

An international task force of 60 deans, university presidents and official representatives of leading business schools developed the PRME initiative. It was co-convened by the United Nations Global Compact and a number of international academic organizations as well as the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative and Net Impact.
