New Director for Scottish Studies
September 17, 2008
Leith Davis is the new director of the Centre for Scottish Studies. She replaces Steven Duguid who has served as the centre’s director since its inception in 1998.
Davis, a long-time member of the centre’s steering committee and a professor of English, has written extensively about Scottish literature.
The centre is offering a series of public talks this fall on "Scotland around the globe" and next year plans series of events to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Robbie Burns’ birth.
