Where can you dance and minimize your footprint at the same time? At SFU’s first annual SustainABIL!TY Festival at Convocation Mall on the Burnaby campus, Thurs., Oct. 11, 10–5 pm. Take in the eco-fashion show featuring environmentally low-impact fashion choices, sample local food and visit the marketplace with its freecycle swap table to drop off your old junk and hunt for new treasures. There’s also a beverage garden, live music, performers and facepainting, as well as the Sustainability Learning Exchange Centre. Sponsored by Sustainable SFU, the Climate Change Action Group and the Resource and Environmental Management graduate student union.
