Arthur Robson, Canada Research Chair in Economic Theory and Evolution in the department of economics has been elected a Fellow of the Econometric Society. The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. Founded in 1930, this learned society currently has 550 Fellows, including 25 Nobel prize winners . There are currently 10 Fellows in Canada, including SFU Emeritus Professor Richard G. Lipsey who was elected in 1972.
