Simon Fraser University opened a $34 million, 7,529-square meter leading edge complex on September 19, 2007 that boasts one-of-a-kind labs to foster interdisciplinary research. One of the key goals of the new Arts and Social Sciences Complex (ASSC1) is to encourage collaboration in archaeology, criminology and forensics in developing groundbreaking techniques to solve homicides and clarify criminal behaviour.
