SFU, CKNW team up for basketball broadcasts
January 22, 2009
SFU’s Clan Radio Network and CKNW AM 980 have formed an online broadcasting partnership for the remainder of the 2008-09 Canada West basketball season. Clan Radio’s remaining men’s and women’s basketball broadcasts will be available online on both SFU’s Athletics website and CKNW.com.
The partnership is largely due to the success of the 2008 Shrum Bowl online broadcast last October on Clan Radio and CKNW. "We had a very positive response," says CKNW sports director Jim Mullin, "and we thought this would be a great way to follow it up and support the university sports community."
The play-by-play team of Scott McLean and The Province’s Howard Tsumura will be delivering the action to basketball fans.
