SportsClan soccer lads have banner yearNovember 27, 2007The awards keep piling up for the SFU Clan men’s soccer team. After an outstanding 2007 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), including a 17-2-1 record, three first- or third-team All-Americans and an appearance in the NAIA national championship semifinals, three Clan players were named to the NAIA All-Tournament team. Senior defender and first-team All-American Luca Bellisomo, sophomore striker Lucas Barrett and freshman midfielder Josh Bennett were all named to the All-Tournament squad. The Clan lost 1-0 in the semifinals to Azusa Pacific University, which went on to win the championship. | ||
