SFU gains on ‘Top 50’ research funding list

Consulting firm Re$earch Infosource has ranked SFU fourth among comprehensive universities for attracting research dollars and 20th overall—up from 21st last year—on its annual list of Canada’s top 50 research universities.

SFU was highlighted for generating a 126-per-cent increase in research funds between 2002 and 2007—the biggest jump in the country and well above the 46.5-per-cent average increase for comprehensive universities.
