SFU Business PhD student Kirk Plangger (above) has won an outstanding teaching award from a U.S. university clinic renowned for its instruction in entrepreneurship. The marketing doctoral candidate attended a four-day experiential classroom program last month at Oklahoma State University’s Spears School of Business where he co-taught a detailed entrepreneurship case to a class of undergraduates. Plangger beat out 80 PhDs and seasoned university teachers from around the world. “We tried to make the case interactive, friendly and engaging,” says Plangger, a teaching assistant in the business administration faculty’s MBA, Executive MBA and graduate diploma programs.
