Chem students get new Bruker prize

SFU chemistry grad students Jeff Chan and Monica Szczepina are the first recipients of the university’s new Bruker Prize in chemical spectroscopy. Both will receive $1,000 for travel to an international conference to present their prize-winning research papers. The prize is awarded to chemistry graduate students who have demonstrated expertise in running advanced scientific instrumentation and have developed sophisticated spectroscopic techniques for studying molecular reactions that result in high-quality published research papers. Prize sponsor Bruker is a leading analytical instrumentation company.
