Cardiovascular disease—a growing problem in both Canada and India—will be the focus of an international conference at the Surrey campus June 21–23. SFU and the Fraser Health Authority are co-sponsoring the Canada-India Cardiovascular Health symposium where as many as 250 researchers, policy-makers and industry stakeholders from both countries will discuss issues such as new research, treatment, prevention and future prospects. SFU health sciences professor and conference co-chair, Arun Chockalingam, says cardiovascular disease—including diabetes and stroke—is an epidemic in both countries. He says the conference will serve as a launching pad for better health and economic development in Canada and India for the next decade and beyond. at.sfu.ca/ULVZVj

I have worked, in the past, as a nurse both in Geriatrics and General and Open Heart Surgery. Thank you,
