You’ll see something a little different at convocation on Oct. 7. Judith Osborne, SFU’s VP-legal affairs and a criminology faculty member, will deliver the citation for honorary degree recipient Pat Carney, former senator and cabinet minister and aboriginal women’s rights advocate. The president has delivered such citations in the past. However, the university is hoping to have a greater diversity of speakers at convocation and, to that end, is seeking faculty members to serve as orators.
