SFU’s annual Terry Fox Walk/Run falls on Thursday, Sept. 23, when all three campuses will acknowledge SFU’s most famous undergrad and his efforts to find a cure for cancer.
At 11:30 am at the Burnaby campus Convocation Mall, President Andrew Petter will award the annual Terry Fox Gold Medal, then lead off the walk/run. A healthy lunch follows in Convocation Mall, where $4 will buy a wrap, fresh fruit and a homemade cookie.
At the Vancouver campus at Harbour Centre there’s a walk to the Terry Fox Monument at BC Place, departing at 11:45 am. And at the Surrey campus, watch for ‘Change for Cancer’ donation jars on the Mezzanine level. Participate in the walk/run alone or as part of a team. Visit www.sfu.ca/terryfox for sign-up, donations and further information.
