The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) in Kyiv, Ukraine, has established the Peter Kennedy Memorial Fellowship in honour of the well-loved SFU economics professor emeritus.
The fellowship will fund meritorious students at KSE. Kennedy, who passed away suddenly in August 2010, had served on the school’s international advisory board since 2003 and was dedicated to supporting its development into an internationally recognized institution. He enjoyed watching high-quality students from Ukraine and neighboring countries take on the challenging curriculum and become successful in academic, private and government careers. Over the years Kennedy made fundamental contributions to his field—his Guide to Econometrics, now in its sixth edition, has been used by generations of economists.
