A 2004 entrepreneurship article, authored by SFU Business professor Tom Lawrence and published in the Academy of Management Journal, received more citations in the five years following publication than any other entrepreneurship article appearing in top-tier management and entrepreneurship journals. In recognition of the article’s scholarly impact, Lawrence is the 2010 recipient of the Greif Research Impact Award, bestowed by the Greif Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Southern California.
