The world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), has named SFU School of Interactive Arts and Technology associate professor, Ron Wakkary (above), as co-editor of its bi-monthly magazine, interactions. Wakkary is a global leader in human computer interaction, the interdisciplinary study of how people design, implement and use interactive computer systems and how computers shape individuals, organizations and society.
He and co-editor Erik Stolterman of Indiana University will bring to interactions their vision of how and why human beings interact with the designed world of technologies. The first issue of interactions produced by the new editorial team will appear in January 2011.
