SFU’s Sterling Prize committee has issued its last call for nominations for the 2009 Nora and Ted Sterling Prize in Support of Controversy. The deadline is Jan. 31. The prize is awarded annually to a recipient whose work presents new ways of looking at the world that are daring and creative. Whether they are an SFU student, staff member, academic or community member with links to the university, prize winners are selected for decidedly unconventional and distinctly untraditional work that provokes a wide audience. The winner receives a cash award of $5,000 and makes a public presentation at the Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue.
