The economy’s a downer, but SFU faculty and staff rallied to the cause, raising $170,500 for the United Way, the largest donation ever.

Contributing to the campaign’s success was the book and CD sale at the Burnaby campus, which tallied out at $10,500. Other fund-raising activities at all three campuses added a further $4,500.
