Sterling iconoclasts wanted
February 5, 2009
Nominations for SFU’s 2009 Nora and Ted Sterling Prize in Support of Controversy close on Feb. 27. The $5,000 prize is awarded annually to recipients who offer daring, creative and controversial ways of looking at the world with intellectual clarity, conviction and courage in the face of sometimes fierce opposition. Nominees can be SFU students, staff, academic or community members with links to the university. Winners are selected for decidedly unconventional and distinctly untraditional work that provokes a wide audience. To submit a nomination package or suggest a nominee, contact the award committee at vpacad@sfu.ca. For more info, including the nomination form, visit www.sfu.ca/sterlingprize
