Clan relay team sets new record

The last weekend of January saw the SFU Clan distance medley relay team break the current NAIA record with a time of 11:30:96. An SFU team held the previous record of 11:43.08 at the 2005 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships. In the weekend’s medley, Helen Crofts ran the mile portion, Jessica Smith the 1200m, Angela Shaw the 800m and Michaela Kane the 400m. Crofts also registered a personal best in the 800m indoors with a time of 2:06.43, the fourth fastest time at the NCAA Division I meet, while Smith was right behind Crofts with a time of 2:08.08.
