Head football coach David Johnson has signed a five-year contract extension that will keep him in place through the 2014 football season. "I’m incredibly happy to be at SFU, we have a lot of great people involved in Clan Football," says Johnson. "I’m also really excited to be able to expand my staff as we prepare for our move into the NCAA next season." Full-time coaching staff will grow to six positions from three. Johnson has been with the Clan for three seasons and was named the 2008 Canada West Coach of the Year after leading SFU to a 5-3 regular season record and a trip to the Hardy Cup Finals.
