Once they’re famous, writers and others who produce books realize the importance of their archives—but by then it’s usually too late. SFU’s Canadian Centre for Studies in Publishing’s CCSP Press aims to change that fact with Laura Millar’s The story behind the book: preserving authors' and publishers' archives. The prominent archival consultant exhorts everyone involved in writing and publishing to preserve their paper and digital records now. CCSP Press publishes innovative works about books and publishing. The story behind the book is the first volume in a new series called the JJ Douglas Library, books about books, honouring the pioneering British Columbia publisher.
