Sloan Fellowship for math professor

Matt DeVos, assistant professor of mathematics, has been awarded a $50,000 Sloan Research Fellowship to further his fundamental research in graph theory, an area of mathematics with applications ranging from map colouring to cell phone networks. DeVos is among just 118 early-career scientists and scholars worldwide to receive a two-year Sloan fellowship.
