The board of governors voted March 26 to authorize the university to proceed with its application to join Division II of the U.S.-based National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). If approved by the NCAA, which appears likely, all Clan varsity teams will be competing south of the 49th parallel by the 2010-11 season. The Clan currently has 15 teams competing in either the small-college National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics in the U.S. or Canadian Interuniversity Sport. Football, men’s and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball all compete north of the border.

I would like to know if SFU's Men's Hockey is included to join the NCAA

Veronica A

Since the Men's Hockey is a club and not a varsity team they will not be part of the NCAA.
