Next fall, SFU Business will add a pilot program called BusOne to the growing list of first-year cohort offerings at the Surrey campus that includes Crim One, WorldLit One, TechOne, Explorations and Science Year One. Students in cohort programs take the same core courses as a group, easing their transition to university, helping them meet new friends and introducing them to collaborative skills they’ll need in the workforce. All 50 students admitted to BusOne must take a new introductory business course called Bus 130, Business in the Networked Economy, which will focus on case studies relating to marketing, finance, accounting, entrepreneurship and human resource management.
