Four Clan softball players have been named NAIA Association of Independent Institutions All-Stars. Seniors Meaghan Cumpstone and Christine Barr alongside juniors Jessie Harris and Stefani Durrant were recognized for their performance during the 2009 season. The Clan team is currently in Alabama preparing for the 2009 NAIA National Championships, May 14-20. Catcher Cumpstone is tenth in the NAIA in RBI per game (1.233) and leads the Clan with 37 RBI, while shortstop Barr is batting .368 on the season with 32 hits, and is known as one of the team’s top defensive players. Harris leads Simon Fraser with 48 hits and nine stolen bases, and is ninth in the NAIA in hits per game (1.6), while Durrant had a breakout season in 2009, hitting .408 at the plate with 17 RBI.
