Does your child know how to deal with bullies at school? Do you know what to do if there is a bear in your neighborhood? Are you sure your kids are driving/biking safely on the road? How much sunscreen do you need to prevent skin cancer?

Learn about these and other important health and safety issues at SFU Campus Security’s 12th Annual Kids Safety Day on Sunday, July 19, 11:00 - 2:00 pm outside the AQ 4000 level by the Reflecting Pond at the Burnaby campus.

The event aims to provide a free, fun and educational environment for the families of the SFU and neighbouring community, with activities focused on children ranging in age from newborn to 14 years, and their parents.

The whole family will enjoy activities such as face-painting, bouncy castle, games and prizes—one for every child who attends.

All kids pre-registered by the July 16 cutoff get a free piece of pizza and a soft drink. Parents can also register the day of the event starting at 11 am.

Pick up a registration form at the SFU Campus Security Office or email with your contact information, children’s names and their ages by July 16. If you have any questions, contact MacDonald at 778.782.5450.
