SFU’s senate committee on university honours is calling for nominations by Oct. 13, 2009 for honorary degrees in the following categories:

• D.Litt. (Letters), for outstanding achievement in literature.
• D.Sc. (Science), for outstanding achievement in science, engineering science, computing science or medicine.
• D.F.A. (Fine Arts), for outstanding achievement in the fine and performing arts.
• LL.D. (Laws), for outstanding achievement in other areas.

Nominees approved by the senate will receive honorary degrees at the June and October convocation ceremonies in 2010. Nominations should be sent to the Office of the Registrar. Visit: www.sfu.ca/ceremonies/honorary_degrees/HDR_Nomination_Information.htm for nomination requirements.
