Assistant health-sciences professor Rochelle Tucker (above l) accepted a dare from her students to dance to a Michael Jackson song before the class on Oct. 20—dressed as superhero Captain Condom. It’s one of several dares she accepted in a bid to help the Faculty of Health Sciences keep its lead in the national A Dare to Remember fundraising campaign. Run by the Stephen Lewis Foundation, the campaign supports grandmothers, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Africa. Faculty dean John O’Neil (above r) accepted a dare to dress as a clown. The faculty has raised $12,000 so far. Dare week officially ends Oct. 25 but dares and contributions will be accepted until World AIDS day Dec. 1. Everyone is welcome to join the team at www.adaretoremember.com or contribute online at i.sfu.ca/thkSgc.
