With topics as diverse as nematode space travellers and boomer bag ladies, the third annual Celebration of SFU Authors took place on Nov. 4 at the WAC Bennett Library. More than 100 authors contributed books, significant chapters, videos, CDs and DVDs published in the past year, doubling the size of last year’s event. "The author’s event is a perfect example of how the library is morphing into more of an academic town centre, going beyond study-space and book-borrowing," says dean of libraries Lynn Copeland.
