The SFU Food Bank needs your help during its annual winter food drive, through Dec. 12, at all three campuses. Needed items are: cereal, canned meat, beans, fish and stews, vegan and vegetarian soups, non-perishable soy milk, pasta (other than instant noodles) or rice, as well as sealed packages of baby food, diapers, shampoo, shaving cream and other toiletries.

Think creatively and encourage your fellow staff and faculty members to donate. Here are some ideas:

  • Ask holiday party guests to bring along a non-perishable food item.
  • Issue a friendly challenge to another department

Other ways you can help:
  • Use the SFU library’s "Food for Fines" campaign (through Dec. 13) to clear your fines and make a donation to those in need. Check for details on the library’s website.
  • Volunteer to collect boxes and sort donations Dec. 15–17. Email if you can help.
  • Tell students that the SFU Food Bank helps students, their families and all SFU community members in need.

The SFU Food Bank is co-administered by Student Development and the Simon Fraser Student Society. For more information:
