For the second time in three years, the SFU Library has won the B.C. Library Association's academic librarians in public service award for outstanding service.

The 2004 award honours the library's innovative Ask Us Here service that uses the campus wireless network to bring personal library reference and information assistance to a variety of locations around campus.

Each year the award is presented to an academic public service librarian or librarian team whose outstanding service has made a difference to students, faculty or colleagues in B.C.

The SFU Ask Us Here librarians receiving the award are Mark Bodnar, Gordon Coleman, Carla Graebner and Sandra Wong. The award also recognizes co-op students Katherine Miller and Anne O'Shea who investigated the need for the service. O'Shea is now a temporary librarian with SFU.
