Walk this way to better health with the SFU health and counselling centre's (HCC) pedometer program.

An initiative from HCC's health promotion team, the month-long program is an effort to support active living among campus community members. Students, staff, faculty and UniverCity residents are all welcome to join.

Register Sept. 6-20 at the HCC, Renaissance Coffee locations or at HCC kiosks around campus (look
for the green feet). Pedometers are just $5 at registration.

Walk this Way kicks off on Terry Fox Day, Sept. 21. Over the next four weeks, participants will wear their pedometers, track their daily steps and work toward increasing daily activity levels. Participants will receive motivational emails, invitations to fun and relaxing weekly walks and activities and opportunities to win great prizes.

Last year's program attracted 450 participants and 97 per cent said they would participate again. Registration is limited.
