SFU kinesiology student Marcus Yung has won this year's ACE undergraduate award from the Association of Canadian Ergonomists. At ACE's annual conference, he received the award for a paper and oral presentation highlighting his work on the design of a child's lounge chair. It can reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injury associated with “sustained seated postures.” Yung says this phenomenon is on the rise due to children sitting in chairs not suited to their smaller frames.
