If it wasn't for SFU coach Bruce Langford, Clan women's basketball rookie phenom Kate Hole (seen here during the team's China visit last summer) might well have gone to the University of Alberta. After all, her dad attended and played football there, her grandmother was a former chancellor, and her high school coach played and was an assistant coach there. But Langford and Hole's mutual love of literature helped tip the scales in SFU's favour during recruiting. And coach Langford couldn't be happier, describing the Canadian under-19 junior national team member as one of the best high school post players he's ever seen.
