Even though Apple's iPhone will only be available in the U.S. when it's made available on Friday, it's causing a lot of interest and excitement on both sides of the border. Will the iPhone change the way we interact with the telephone as much as its cousin, the iPod, has changed how we listen to music? John Bowes, director of SFU's School of Interactive Arts and Technology, and Richard Smith of the School of Communication are available to comment on the iPhone's impact.

E-loyalty across cultures

A new study shows that website design can contribute to trust, satisfaction and online shopping loyaty in different ways across cultures. SFU Surrey business professor Dianne Cyr involved 571 people from Canada Germany and China in her study. Among her findings: in China, trust can be established by enhancing website security and ensuring the site is sensitively adapted to the Chinese culture. Cyr can talk about why it pays to design websites that will appeal to a broader culture audience.
